In Glyseria, life was a harmonious blend of the frozen ocean and the sky above. The people of this world built their homes upon massive sheets of ice that floated upon the sea, each sheet a fragile island in an endless sea. And scattered throughout this world were strange globes of ice, glimmering in the sunlight and drawing the curious gaze of all who saw them. They were said to hold within them magic and secrets beyond imagining. These globes were seen as gifts from the gods, offered up for the enrichment of all, and for that reason it was taboo to destroy them or tamper with them. And so the people of this world lived amongst the ice and magic, building their homes and their lives in the shadow of these strange, wondrous globes of ice.
