The year is 1917, and the world is at war. But despite the violence and destruction all around her, Mary is happy. She has a loving fiancé, a beautiful farm, and a new baby on the way. Life is perfect. However, Mary's fiancé is drafted into the army and sent to fight in France. Suddenly, Mary is all alone. She tries to keep up with the farm on her own, but it's difficult. The war is taking its toll on everyone, and food is scarce. Mary is struggling to make ends meet. One night, Mary is startled awake by a noise outside. She peeks out the window to see a dark figure lurking in the shadows. Fear grips her heart, and she quickly locks the door. But the figure is gone. The next day, Mary finds strange footprints leading up to her house. Whoever was out there last night is watching her, and Mary doesn't know what to do. She is all alone and vulnerable, and she knows that the figure is coming for her.
