I never thought it would come to this. I never thought they would actually try to burn my house down. But here they are, standing outside my home with torches in hand, yelling for me to come out. They say I'm a witch, that I've been hexing people in the town and causing them harm. But I know I haven't done anything of the sort. They're going to make sure I pay for my supposed crimes. And there's nothing I can do to stop them. I can hear the flames licking at the walls of my house, hear the wood crackling as it burns. The heat is intense, but I don't dare leave my hiding spot. If they find me, they'll kill me for sure. So I sit and wait, hoping and praying that somehow I'll make it through this night alive.
