I always found the image of a twilit field romantic as a kid. The thought of lying down with someone looking up at the stars, away from the real world, mutually enchanted by that perfect bubble of unreality you’ve shaped together. Here, though, the land looks scarred, dead. I don’t have those daydreams anymore.
